dim the lights and perk my ear
something slithers across the floor
dark presence from far offshore

oh my god it is so ugly
and it wants me in its tummy
dirty tentacles come for me
writhing, glistening and porny
angry eyeball on a stock looks
at me like a hungry hawk does
something stops it as it's nearer
it sees itself in the mirror

is it a man?

now i see the gears start to turn
there's something inside that secretly yearns
a gentle heart wants only to be
eating shellfish deep in the sea

maybe he can find the savior
to his violent behavior
something to cure his diseases
superman-fish octojesus
sklarktopus forgives trespasses
even for he who harasses
like the sacred gentle sea cow
evil can be used for good now

the eyeball stalk now winks right at me
as he shambles back to his home in the sea
